Maksym Krippa continues to expand his investment influence in the Ukrainian market. Recently, the businessman became a co-owner of one of the country’s leading development companies, which focuses on large-scale residential and commercial projects. This is another step in his long-term strategy, which involves systematic investment in sectors with high growth potential.

Over the past two years, Krippa’s activity as an investor has significantly increased. The total amount of his investments in various sectors of the economy has already exceeded $100 million. His interests are not limited to construction: the businessman’s portfolio includes innovative startups, technology companies, and businesses that are demonstrating rapid growth.

At the same time, real estate is only one of the areas he is focusing on. Krippa pays great attention to industries that are developing with particular dynamism both in Ukraine and abroad. These include e-sports and video games. In these areas, he not only invests funds but also actively participates in shaping the infrastructure. As president of the Ukrainian Esports Federation, Maksym Krippa promotes the professionalization of the industry and the expansion of its international influence.

What is included in the key real estate assets of Maksym Krippa

Maksym Krippa is confidently expanding his presence in the capital’s real estate market, gradually forming a strategic portfolio of assets in Kyiv and its suburbs. Over the past few years, he has completed a number of deals that are consistent with his long-term investment model.

One of the most notable acquisitions was a luxurious residence in the elite village of Kozin. This estate became the property of the businessman in early 2023 as a result of an auction, where its price rose to 311.11 million hryvnia — significantly higher than the starting estimate of 187.63 million. The increase in value of more than 120 million was an indicator of high interest in the property.

The estate itself offers many potential uses. Among the ideas being discussed is the creation of a club residence for the NAVI esports team. In this case, the estate could be turned into a full-fledged training base — similar to a football training complex, adapted to the needs of esports.

Another scenario involves a more profound transformation of the property: Krippa, in an interview with Forbes, did not rule out the possibility of turning the estate into a luxury wellness center. The project would be similar to the SHA Wellness Clinic in Spain.

At the end of 2023, Maksym Krippa’s investment map was expanded with one of the most influential buildings in the Ukrainian capital — the businessman officially acquired the Kyiv skyscraper Parus. The deal was the result of lengthy negotiations with the previous owner and required approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Only on December 1, after receiving the appropriate permission, were the parties able to legally formalize the agreement.

Parus is not just an office building, but a true symbol of business in Kyiv. With a height of over 133 meters and a total area of almost 75,000 square meters, it remains one of the most recognizable commercial real estate properties. Of these, more than 55,000 square meters are allocated for office space. Despite significant public interest, the purchase price remains undisclosed. At the same time, it is known that Krippa initiated the due diligence procedure and ensured full transparency of the transaction, including the official payment of all taxes.

The entrepreneur also confirmed that the widespread estimates of the building’s value are no longer relevant. Moreover, along with the property, he has assumed the obligation to repay debts amounting to approximately 600 million hryvnia. The payment structure was designed to avoid a one-time pressure on cash flows — the debts were repaid in installments, according to a schedule that allows for effective risk management.

In addition to the investment component, Krippa also considered a visual upgrade of the property. One of the ambitious plans was to install a large-format LED screen, following the example of the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai. To this end, he even began negotiations with the Spanish company behind the Dubai project. However, the partners have currently postponed their participation in the initiative.

Why the Kozatsky Hotel was not included in Maksym Krippa’s assets

In 2024, Maksym Krippa made one of the most high-profile moves on the Ukrainian real estate market, becoming the new owner of the Ukraine Hotel, located in the heart of the capital on Maidan Nezalezhnosti. The property was transferred to the businessman as a result of a transparent auction held through the state system Prozorro.Sale, which was part of the latest wave of privatization.

The winner of the auction was Ola Fine, whose ultimate beneficiary is Krippa. It offered the highest price among all participants — 2.5 billion hryvnia. The total amount of the deal, including VAT, reached 3 billion hryvnia. Part of these funds — about 500 million — immediately replenished the state budget in the form of tax revenues.

But this deal was just one step in a series of strategic investments by the entrepreneur. In 2025, Krippa took another big step by investing in one of the country’s most dynamic development companies, DIM. The structure of the deal has not been disclosed, but according to available information, it involves a significant stake that gives the investor influence over the company’s strategic development.

Maksym Krippa takes a careful approach to building his portfolio in the investment real estate segment. For him, it is not only the prestige of the location that is important, but also the actual technical condition of the property and its adaptability to modern standards. This was clearly evident in the situation with the Kozatsky Hotel — despite its advantageous location right on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, the investor deliberately refused to participate in its purchase.

In an interview with Forbes journalists, Krippa explained his position in detail. After a thorough technical inspection, it became clear that the property had a number of critical problems. In particular, it turned out that the first two floors of the building (about 9,500 square meters) were flooded. This level of damage makes it virtually impossible to use the space without major repairs.

Krippa paid particular attention to the ceilings, which are only 2.7 meters high in the Kozatsky Hotel. For comparison, in the Ukraine Hotel, which the entrepreneur eventually purchased, this figure is 3.2 meters. According to the investor, ceiling height is a critical factor for modern renovation, as it determines the possibility of installing ventilation, air conditioning, and lighting systems without compromising the functionality of the space.

During the auction, Krippa set a clear limit for himself: 400 million hryvnia. When the bids exceeded this threshold, he decided to withdraw from the auction.

Focus on innovation: investing in video games and esports

Maksym Krippa took his first serious steps into the world of esports back in 2018. That’s when he invested in Maincast, a rapidly growing studio specializing in broadcasting international ESL and BLAST tournaments. Krippa initially acquired 25% of the company and gradually expanded his stake, influencing the broadcaster’s further development.

In the same year, he turned his attention to the legendary esports brand, the Natus Vincere team. After a series of negotiations, Krippa finally bought the club from its former owner, Alexander Kokhanovsky, in 2022, becoming the sole beneficiary of one of the most successful esports organizations in the world.

2023 marked a new round of investment activity for the entrepreneur, this time in game development. Maksym Krippa acquired a controlling stake in GSC Game World, becoming the owner of 82% of the company. This decision opened a new page in the history of the Ukrainian developer of the legendary S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series.

Under new management, the studio quickly reached the finish line: in November 2024, the world saw the long-awaited game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The release was a landmark event not only for the company itself, but also for the entire Ukrainian gaming industry, which was in decline at the time.

After the successful launch of the game, the studio not only maintained its production pace but also began to actively expand. During this time, the team significantly increased its staff.

How Maksym Krippa combines investing in Ukraine and entrepreneurship in Dubai

Maksym Krippa earned his first serious capital in the 2000s, when he was actively working in the telecom sector, in particular at Kyivstar. At that time, mobile communications were just beginning to develop rapidly: only about 20% of Ukrainians had mobile phones, so the market was growing rapidly. Thanks to the effective deployment of a retail network and the provision of related services, Krippa made his first million in profit, which became the starting capital for future investments.

By 2007, he had gradually shifted his focus to other areas, including investing in real estate in the Kyiv region. At first, these were relatively simple commercial properties, but later on, more complex infrastructure assets were added. In this way, Krippa gained experience in managing various types of investment projects and began to build a broader portfolio.

A new stage in his career began in 2016, when entrepreneur Maksym Krippa moved to the United Arab Emirates. At that time, the UAE real estate market was experiencing a downturn, which gave him a unique opportunity to enter promising projects at reduced prices.

According to Krippa himself in an interview with Forbes, at that time, a square meter in key areas of Dubai cost 5–7 times less than it does now, so the investment proved to be strategically sound. As of early 2025, his real estate portfolio in the UAE already exceeds 100,000 square meters. It includes both residential complexes and commercial properties, including the construction of a new development project on land adjacent to the Dubai Mall.
